Greetings Amy and All,

Ditto Woody and Michal - and a BIG thank you to Ann. I have (had - as
I have given many away now) an extensive collection of CD's that
integrated with the units I was teaching - ranging from period music
to cultural music.

Here are some additional resources (these may have been listed in with
Ann's post of my previous posts?).

Take Five: Interdisciplinary Connections: Art and Music.

Five prints where students will almost be able to hear the sounds....
Set consultants were Nancy Walkup and Pam Stephens (both Getty list
members) Set is from Crystal Productions and is sold on page 21 in
their new catalog. I highly recommend these prints. Activities for use
in the classroom included with each print.

Robbie Quinn's Art Songs came highly recommended by another list member.

Robbie Quinn's Art Songs is sold on page 50 in Crystal Productions
catalog. You can also order Robbie Quinn's Art Songs directly from his
web site. http://www.robbiequinn.com/?page_id=5

If you are interested in the American Landscape, you might want to
consider Introduction to Art and Music in America (grade 4 - 8)
30 Minute video using landscapes of Thomas Cole and music of Edvard
MacDowell. This in on page 55 in Crystal Productions.

There used to be a CD Rom series on Art and Music... I don't know if
that is still available. CP doesn't list it - Sax may still have it?)

Amy, at one time, I made a list of fine art prints from Shorewood and
Art Image Publications that related to music. Let me know if you want
that and I will see if I can find it. If you are seriously interested
in ordering some prints that correlate, I will make the list again
(and will this time put it on IAD)

I have a list of music suggestions that I can forward to Amy, if
requested off list. I decided long ago to not put everyone's music
selections on IAD as I could not please everyone and list them all...
Far too many (smiles).

Regards,

Judy Decker
